DARRELL DUNHILL AS ELVIS TO PERFORM AT THE KANE CENTER ON JUNE 15

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Denise Belizar, Marketing Manager 772-223-7841, dbelizar@kanecenter.org DARRELL DUNHILL AS ELVIS TO PERFORM AT THE KANE CENTER ON JUNE 15 STUART, FL (May 22, 2013) – “Elvis” will come to the Kane Center in Stuart for one performance only on Saturday, June 15 at 6:30 p.m. The tribute show will feature Treasure Coast resident and world-renowned Elvis impersonator Darrell Dunhill, performing Presley’s hits from his early years through his performances in Las Vegas as “The King.” Advance tickets, which are $18 for Kane members and $20 for non-members, are available online at www.kanecenter.org, or via phone at 772-223-7800, Monday through Friday. Tickets purchased at the door are $20 for Kane members and $22 for non-members. All seats are general admission. A cash bar will be available. Dunhill has wowed audiences everywhere from Las Vegas and Memphis to Japan with his high-energy, interactive show, which features authentic costumes and sound tracks that re-create Elvis’ original arrangements. The performance will include classic favorites like “Hound Dog,” “Love Me Tender” and “Jailhouse Rock,” along with a few of the less familiar tunes out of the 1,500 songs that Elvis recorded. It’s sure to have you All Shook Up! The Kane Center is a multi-generational facility offering a wide range of services for seniors, their families and caregivers, and the greater Treasure Coast community. The Kane Center is designed to serve all seniors in Martin County, from the active to the frail, through social, wellness, medical, nutritional, educational and cultural programming. Intergenerational events for the general public are also offered. The on-site Frances Langford Theatre and Auditorium, the Town Center and other spaces are available for rent for special events. Martin County School District All Three High Schools Ranked among Newsweek’s America’s Best High Schools May 6, 2013 –The Martin County School District is proud to announce that each of its three traditional high schools, Jensen Beach High, Martin County High, and South Fork High schools are ranked among Newsweek Magazine’s 2013 list of America’s Best High Schools. According to Newsweek Magazine, the rankings include those high schools that have proven to be the most effective in preparing high school graduates for college. The list is based on six components: • Graduation rate • College acceptance rate • AP/IB/AICE tests taken per student • Average SAT/ACT scores • Average AP/IB/AICE scores • Percent of students enrolled in at least one AP/IB/AICE course “We congratulate each of our high schools for this achievement. During the ceremony, Hobe Sound Elementary was named the 1st place winner for the Top Green School of 2013! This is in addition to being named a Green School of Excellence. For being named the 1st place winner for the Top Green School of 2013, Hobe Sound Elementary received a $2,000 award to be used for the school’s future environmental projects. “We are absolutely thrilled and honored to have received this prestigious award. Our students, staff and community partners are dedicated to ensuring a sustainable environmental campus. Being green and environmentally conscious is embedded in everything we do. It’s always inspiring to see how engaged our students are in the importance of protecting our environment,” said Joan Gibbons, Hobe Sound Elementary Principal.
